Papua New Guinea – Kinmuga
From $16.99
An extremely fun, natural coffee with berry reduction notes and the sweet-richness of dried strawberry. The body embraces a hot chocolate quality of thick cocoa and finished with a tasty rustic sweetness like fig.
Kinmuga coffee sources and oversees processing from over 800 smallholders. This Lot is particularly exciting as it is one of the first examples of high-quality natural coffee that we have experienced from this region. In addition to helping to innovate and share the ever-increasing catalog of wonderful coffee being processed by these small farmers, the Kideng Wet mill has invested in new technologies and programs to ensure the sustainability of their operation and help ensure the future of these communities the fruits of their labor.
The green coffee smells of a berry balsamic, pungently fruity! this coffee does not short your expectations. It taskes on the qualities of a dark coffee well (rich, thick, creamy) without losing the finer aspects of acidity and berry-like sweetness. The brewed scent gives notes of chocolate covered strawberries and a hint of palm sugar. I enjoy this coffee most through an aeropress with espresso ratios, but a French Press is the best conventional method. Don’t be shy to run this through the Mr. Coffee! It can shine through all brewing methods.
